A diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome does not mean mental illness

This post is a response to some extremely ignorant remarks coming from individuals on a swag of blog sites. It seems to me that many people are extremely ignorant about autism, as well as the more highly functioning who have a diagnosis of Asperger’s syndrome. As far as I am aware there is a long way to go in understanding autism and how it is that so many children end up with this problem that affects the wiring of their brains. The worst kind of autism is that of a child who is whole wrapped up in its own world, unable to communicate properly with other than close family members.

I will note here my own experience with a young man who was autistic. I had the experience on the Trans-Canada train going from Toronto to Vancouver. The boy was not able to communicate with the rest of us, although he did get angry because we were laughing so much. His younger sister cared for him and was with him most of the time. I add here that his father and a female relative were also a part of the family group. The boy loved trains and his thing was train time tables. He did not have Asperger’s Syndrome because he was lower functioning. I also note that I came across even more of these individuals when on a cruise, because by chance there were a number of disabled travelling on that particular cruise. I observed one older male who I would also put in the autistic category. He did not have the ability to write.

On the other hand, the young people with Asperger’s Syndrome tend to be those with a very high IQ. They are the nerds in the school. They are the computer whiz kids.  A good example of such individuals would have to be the young men portrayed in the hit show, “The Big Bang Theory”. If you observe their characters carefully you can see how they are incapable of mixing socially with others, sometimes they are inappropriate in the way that they try to socialize, and they love routines.  They are extremely nerdy and they have a thing about rituals.

Adam Lanza could be easily identified as typical of the person portrayed on the Big Bang Theory, but with exception. It appears that he had some other form of mental illness. I suspect that he had schizophrenia, and when he went off the deep end he had reached a level of paranoia that meant he should have already been committed to a mental institution for his own good.

Some information is becoming available, such as someone stating that Lanza was angry with his mother because she had applied to the court to have him committed. I do not understand the connection to Sandy Brook Elementary School because the mother had worked in the finance sector and had not worked at the school.

Right now there is a very incomplete picture. Lanza damaged his computer hard drive prior to his murderous rampage. This means that he was probably hiding something about his online activity. Could it be that he had been a hacker for Anonymous or with Lulz? Did he discuss his anger with someone online?

The point that I want to make here is that this person had more than Asperger’s. It was quite clear that he was mentally ill, and this is something that is increasingly apparent in the majority of these murderous rampages. In nearly every single case, mental illness has been the root cause of the evil perpetrated by certain individuals. I think that this was also the case with Anders Brevik of Norway, except that the courts claimed he was not mentally ill (oh yeah!!).

Conditions such as Asperger’s Syndrome are something that is observable. Even with ADD and ADHD there are observations about the condition that can be made, but not all children diagnosed in that way actually have the condition. Sometimes it is a case that the child needs a stern hand from a father figure. The mother becomes the victim of the individual because she is coping by herself. If the child screams something like “I have rights”, then you can start looking elsewhere, not just for blame, but at least to understand the psyche, and to show that sometimes the leftist notion of “rights” actually goes too far.

Why does Evil happen? Where was God in this crisis?

I feel very inspired by words stated by Mike Huckabee on this very subject of the evil committed by Adam Lanza upon the young children and their teachers at Sandy Hook elementary school. The first thing that I have to say is to express my condolences to all who lost loved ones in this particular massacre. Nothing can bring back those young lives.

During such a time of despair it is worth stopping and thinking about how God was working in the face of evil during that whole scene. The acts of bravery of various teachers needs to be mentioned. Several of the teachers gathered up the children and pushed them into closets. One lot of children were taken into a bathroom, a very small area to fit in 15 children. The teacher spoke softly to them, telling them to be quiet. The piano teacher ushered the children who were with her into a closet and told them to keep quiet. She told them that she loved them, and then when one child suggested that they should pray, they did. That act of faith helped to save lives. Other teachers in the gym did the same with their groups of children ushering them into a closets. Yet the bravest of the teachers was Miss Soto who was killed by the gunman after she thrust herself in front of the children in her class in an effort to save their lives. She put her charges first, not thinking about her own safety, thus she gave her life in an effort to save the lives of others.  Other children had stories, such as the child who was pulled into a classroom and to safety, and another who grabbed the hands of his friends and ran from the classroom where the gunman was shooting at the children. God was acting in all of these people on that day.

It is because people think of God in some remote way that they forget that God works through us. This is the same as Evil. The Evil One works through those who do his will, rather than the Will of God. This is how Evil is allowed to operate in the world.

I am not certain that I can adequately explain the concept that I want to convey here. As human beings we have the ability to chose to do what is right or what is wrong. If we choose to do that which is wrong, then we are listening to the Evil One, instead of listening to God. We have free will in everything. It always comes down to our choices in the long run. Choosing to do right does not mean that we will never sin, because we are indeed sinners, but with God’s Grace we can choose to do what is right. All sin starts in a small way. It is the lie, or the small act of theft that is the beginning. Once we realize that we can get away with that small action we get bolder and bolder until we are so full of sin that we can no longer react to the will of God. One day, when I find my reference book, written by the late Bishop Fulton Sheen, I will write some more on this subject. For now I will try to remember some of the things that he wrote about on this very subject.

Sin abounds everywhere in the world. There is nothing more sinful than abortion on demand, but wait there is something worse, it is involuntary euthanasia of the elderly and the disabled. Marxists and atheists in particular who reject God embrace instead the Evil One. Looking back in history there is no better example than Hitler’s Germany where there were so many evil practices. Hitler himself had been baptized as a Catholic, but by the time he had entered his teens he had rejected God.  That rejection of God led the way to Hitler opening himself up to do evil in the sight of God.

Name any of these massacres, such as the Port Arthur massacre perpetrated by Martin Bryant, through to the massacre in Arizona where at least 6 people were killed, and Gabby Giffords was left with brain injury, to the massacre at the theatre in Auroroa to this latest massacre in Newtown CT and there is one common thread. The perpetrators were mentally ill. One could easily state, well they did not know what they were doing… there was something wrong with them… but in my mind those excuses are simply not good enough. Adam Lanza was born with Asperger’s Syndrome, making him a highly functioning autistic child. He had some obvious problems, including his inability to socialize. The children in his class probably did not understand why he was different, they just knew that he was weird. Adam’s mother was looking after him on a full time basis, so it would appear that there had been some developments in his life that required her keeping an eye upon him at all times, until he shot her in the face. Adam’s father had abandoned him when he got a divorce. Perhaps Adam had developed schizophrenia. Maybe in the future we will learn whether or not he had started taking any hallucinogenic drugs.

This brings me to Jared Loughner because his drug taking had been reported. Two drugs in particular were mentioned, one of them was cannabis, and the other was a drug made out of a South American herb that is know to give an hallucinatory high.  In my own mind I have no doubt that both drugs together damaged his mind.

What these two have in common with the Aurora killer is that all three of them acted with precision, putting into place something that was well planned. In fact they have something in common with Anders Brevik of Norway. All of them seem to have had a psychotic episode that brought on their murderous rampage.

The evil that went into such planning shows how these mentally ill people actually embraced the Evil One, instead of embracing God. They chose to do those evil things yet God was there, helping the injured, comforting and protecting the children. It is just that we cannot see Him unless we look for Him in the actions of others.

The persecution of George Zimmerman

The latest hearing in the case of State of Florida vs George Zimmerman was held on December 11. Whilst I am disappointed that Judge Nelson did not vary the bail conditions, the case continues to move in a direction that should end with the acquittal of the defendant. There are many twists and turns in this case and each twist or turn needs to be examined in detail.

For a really detailed analysis of this case I recommend TalkLeft and Mike Daniel’s Stately Manor as places where you will get decent analysis. I would steer clear of the Last Refuge because the main author over there tends to get a bit carried away at times, especially in his opinions on the case. However, there is still some decent material to be found at that site. Another good site to check is Diwataman.

As a brief synopsis on this case I offer the following thoughts:

The 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was not a resident of The Retreat in Sanford. His father was on intimate terms with a woman who was renting a unit, by the name of Brandy Green. On the night that Trayvon Martin died, he had gone from this unit to a nearby 7-11 where he purchased a can of Arizona Watermelon Cocktail and a bag of skittles. These items were on his person at the time of his death, and the CCTV footage obtained from the 7-11 clearly show him purchasing these items.

Martin left the vicinity of the 7-11 at around 6.29 pm and proceeded to walk back to the Retreat, which should have taken roughly 10-15 minutes to reach. (More on this point later).

George Zimmerman, had volunteered to be the captain of the retreat’s Neighbourhood Watch. There had been a series of burglaries in the gated community and George was the kind of pro-active person who was willing to keep an eye out for anything odd in the hood. There had been some recent burglaries, including one where a young mother had ended up hiding in her bathroom as two unknown persons had tried to enter her property. It is this history of the area that meant George was alert to any suspicious looking person.

At somewhere near 7.00 pm George had left his residence to go and do grocery shopping. There was no active Neighbourhood Watch but George was ever vigilant. George spotted a tall male looking into some houses in a manner that aroused his suspicions. He pulled over his vehicle and called the police non emergency line to advise what he had seen. During the course of this conversation George gave a description of the person (this description was manipulated by either NBC or ABC), and he stated that the person had come right up to his car. He also told the dispatch that the person had run away, and the general direction that he had gone. The dispatch person asked “Are you following” and upon getting a positive answer he then stated “we do not need you to do that”, with a response ok. George had continued on the path to find a street number and then started walking back to his car when he was confronted and attacked by Trayvon Martin.

There should be no questions about “throwing the first punch” because there was no evidence on Trayvon Martin’s body that he had received any body blows from the fists of another person. On the other hand, George Zimmerman had suffered a broken nose, as well as some head injuries, lacerations, and a large contusion.

(As an aside here, I must note that I have heard of lots of cases where people have either died or ended up with brain injuries as a result of someone throwing a punch and knocking them to the ground. In my opinion George was lucky that he did not end up with permanent brain injury).

After landing the punch to George’s nose, the two struggled until George Zimmerman was pushed to the ground, where Trayvon Martin proceeded to jump on top of him and deliver several more blows to the head, MMA style (per one of the witnesses to the incident). George was screaming for help, but not one of the neighbours came to his assistance, instead several of them contacted 911. As George attempted to move himself to dodge the blows his clothing rode up and the gun that he was carrying was exposed. Trayvon Martin put his hand over George’s mouth and told him “tonight you are going to die”, whilst at the same time his other arm started to stretch towards the gun. George managed to push his arm away and at the same time managed to get the gun out of its holster. It was at this point that he fired the gun and Trayvon Martin died as a result of a gunshot wound.

This is a case that should be clear-cut self-defense. In fact it is one of the few cases where I believe that it truly was self-defense. George Zimmerman could not get away from his attacker, and at the point where the gun was fired, he was in fear of his life.  However, this has not stopped the emergence of the Scheme Team and the activity of the Scheme Team where efforts were made to have George Zimmerman charged for the death of Trayvon Martin.

Trayvon Martin was not some cute little boy of about 13 or 14. He was a young man who was on the verge of becoming an adult. He was most likely about 6ft tall at the time of his death. He was also a young person who had entered the world of drugs and had developed a taste for both cannabis and Lean. In fact the two items that were found on his person are some of the ingredients that help make up Lean. The missing ingredient was the cough syrup.

When the Scheme Team were told that the Sanford police did not think that there was enough evidence to bring charges, they went into action, and this is when Benjamin Crump produced his alleged ear-witness. It was shortly after this witness was discovered that the State of Florida made the decision to charge George Zimmerman with murder in the second degree. Angela Corey and Bernie de la Rionda have become the persecutors of George Zimmerman.

There is no need to rehash a lot of the drama that has ensued since the charges were laid in April. What I want to do is focus for a moment on the statements made by Gilbreath, one of the investigators under oath. I will note here that Gilbreath did not interview Zimmerman. He gave answers that are in contradiction to other pertinent facts (as those facts have become available). This testimony was given at the bond hearing. In hindsight, this now suggests to me that Mark O’Mara, the defense attorney was aware of some inconsistencies in the charging document at that time. For O’Mara this has been a very complex case, and he has had to work hard to unravel much of the conniving by the Persecution. His questions to Gilbreath in hindsight have actually set the stage for the information that is now becoming available.

You can read the whole of this testimony from Gilbreath here. I want to highlight an inconsistency regarding who actually interviewed Witness 8. According to Gilbreath it was Osteen who did the interview. However, the available evidence has shown that it was Bernie de la Rionda who did that interview. Please check it out for yourself, and see how the persecution has been lying and changing their story to fit their narrative.

As well as this inconsistency, there is the bombshell that Bernie de La Rionda helped to put together the document that was charging Zimmerman with second degree murder. It was Bernie de La Rionda who added in certain wording or phrasing such as “he profiled”, as if to prove a point as to intent of Zimmerman. There are a lot of other inconsistencies to consider including the fact that prior to putting this affadavit of probable cause together the Persecution made no effort to interview George Zimmerman. The persecution made no effort to request George’s medical records. The Persecution attempted to deny that George had a broken nose and that the head injuries were more than a few lacerations.

However, the biggie in my view is the way in which BDLR continues with the nonsense that George was somehow being inconsistent and could not have been screaming for help if Trayvon Martin had his hand over his mouth. The problem here is that BDLR is talking out of his ass on this subject. The timeline proves what George states. There are witnesses who stated that George was the one who was being beaten by Trayvon Martin. No doubt Trayvon Martin wanted to silence his victim and very likely told him to STFU. The authoritative voice was not necessarily the voice of George Zimmerman who has a somewhat mild voice. On the other hand Trayvon Martin had a deep voice (If you do not believe me then listen to his voice on that 7-11 tape). That person doing the yelling in the deep authoritative voice was Trayvon Martin. The Persecution investigation was an absolute joke and there are still things to be revealed.

This brings me back to Witness 8, known as DeeDee. It seems that there are two girls involved here. The Persecution claims that she is a minor, but when she was interviewed she gave her age as 18. The girl is not a minor!!  Then there is the issue of how many interviews might have taken place. The first one went to air, and Matt Gutman appears to have the copy of the tape. However, this is where there is obfuscation and lies. Who was present when Matt Guttman got that tape? Who was present when DeeDee was interviewed the second time? According to Galbrieth it was Osteen who did the interview, yet the transcript that has come to light shows that it was Bernie de La Rionda who did the interview…. Here is the first of many lies…… Here is the first cover up that has been exposed.

Time for a guessing game

Der Speigel is not as bad as some media outlets but all the same the headline does not spell out the facts. On the other hand, what I like is that the nationality and other pertinent facts are mentioned in the first paragraph :). So now we have a little guessing game about who planted a bomb at the Bonn railway station.

Was it:

1. A Catholic who hates the Lutherans because Martin Luther was a jerk?

2. A Presbyterian who hates Catholics because Queen Mary refused to convert to the Kirk?

3. An English curate from the Anglican Church who hates Germans?

4. A member of the Bader-Meinhoff group? (getting closer)

or was it by chance

5. Two Somalis known to police in Bonn for being extremist Islamists?

If you read the article at the link you will be surprised at how quickly you find the answer, but you will not get the answer from the headlines. Well done Der Spiegel for at least not hiding the truth, that the bomb was indeed planted by two Somali individuals, well known to the police to be extremist Islamists. Happy Christmas Germany.

Zimmerman vs NBC

The State of Florida vs. Zimmerman is one case that should never have happened in the first place. This is a case of self-defense and is one that is 100 times better than some of the other cases where people have been trying to make comparisons. To me, the differences have been very obvious – take for example the case of the woman who fired a shot at the wall but was more or less directed at her ex-partner. She was found guilty even though she pleaded stand your ground. In her case, I would expect a jury to come back with a verdict of guilty for a few reasons (1) she had little or no regard for her children who were present, (2) she went to her car to get the gun that she fired. It is this second point which I feel is the greatest difference between her case and that of the situation that faced George Zimmerman. She had a choice, and she could have walked away, got into her car and driven off… but instead she fetched a car and then fired it.

George Zimmerman was a very conscientious type of person. On that fateful night he was going to the store when he saw someone he thought was acting suspiciously. He called the police. That same person circled his car, and then ran off. We know from the taped call that George thought he had lost the person that he had seen. He got out of the car to find the name of the street so that he could give the information when the police arrived, and it was when he was on the way back to his car that he was attacked. Trayvon Martin caused the confrontation. Trayvon Martin king hit George Zimmerman, got him to the ground, and pounded Zimmerman’s head several times. During this struggle, the gun in its holster was revealed, and Trayvon Martin, upon seeing the gun threatened to kill George. There was a further struggle, and the gun went off. George managed to fire the gun and the shot killed Trayvon Martin who was still on top of him when the gun went off. No matter how I look at this scenario, to me at least, there is a clear cut case of self-defense involved. It is the perception of a life under threat that really matters.

There should never have been any charges laid, but as it turns out Trayvon Martin’s father is one of the brovers, who had connections to Natalie Jackson, who contacted BenjaminCrump, the chump. It was from the moment that Chump got involved that the case ended up out of all proportion. The gathered evidence was pointing to proving the story told by Zimmerman. However Chump and Co saw this as an opportunity to make money. Chump brought in Daryl Parks of fleecing the government via Pigford settlement claim, and from there the Justus Brovas, otherwise known as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Ben Jealous became involved. They also involved the most corrupt politician ever, Barry Soetoro aka Soebarkh aka Obama who proclaimed that the thug Trayvon Martin was his son, or at least if he had a son he would be like the thug Trayvon Martin. There is probably some truth in that statement because a son of Barry Soetoro, the corrupt politician would in all likelihood be a thug gangsta wannabe who was into drugs and demeaning females.

This interference led to the threat of riots in the streets, thanks to the stirrings of the Justus Brovas, and it led to the State Attorney General taking over the case as it was about to go to the Grand Jury.

The Sanford police and told Tracy Martin that there would most likely not be any charges against George Zimmerman, so what did Crump the Chump do? He manufactured a witness by the name of DeeDee who was supposed to have been listening as the whole thing happened. The problem is that it simply is not true. If there is a DeeDee, then she in fact heard nothing. Her testimony was made up by Benjamin Chump. This part of the story is in fact a story in the process of being written. The case is still going through discovery and getting material out of the Persecution has been like pulling hen’s teeth!! I will have more to say as this portion of the story continues to unfold.

In the meantime, I want to look at some other things that have been happening, including the fact that the Beasley Law Firm is now involved, and a lawsuit has been filed against NBC over the alteration of the 911 call in order to give the call a racist slant. The damage done to George Zimmerman by the NBC is incalculable. Since this is an early stage of the process, I have to just bide my time, and look for relevant information. I note here, however, that all of the Networks, except perhaps Fox News can at some time expect to find themselves slapped with a lawsuit because of various actions at each of the networks.

If networks continue to not report the news, but to simply create the news, then they can look forward to more of the same.

The other aspect of the case that I want to consider is the way that the State and others have tampered with the evidence and with witnesses. Mark O’Mara has pointed to the fact that witnesses have had a habit of altering their statements after they were contacted by the state. Then there is the case of the 13 year old Austin who was most likely the only witness, and it would seem that someone got at his mother too.
