Developing story – North Korea and reporter Rosen

Breitbart News is reporting about the uproar over the Justice Department targeting 3 Fox News Staffers. Two were targeted because of the Fast and Furious scandal but the other, Rosen was targeted because of his report about North Korea’s possible reaction to further UN sanctions.

This is a developing story and from what I can see the investigation is a true chilling of the freedom of the press and the right to free speech.

The other person in the middle of this developing story is Jin Woo-Kim who is facing serious charges relating to what is being called leaks.

I guess it does not matter that North Korea has reacted in precisely the way that was described by Rosen. Yet again we see a White House Administration that does not want to face facts and constantly responds to crisis in an inappropriate way.

Hot Air is also covering this story about the lengths to which the DoJ has gone in order to chill the freedom of the press.

Despite what some think, White House Pool reporters had some very angry questions for Carney during the daily briefing. Two reporters, Major Garrett from CBS and Jonathon Karl of ABC asked some rather angry questions. Another unnamed reported asked what Carney said was a hypothetical and he refused to answer the question.

This story is developing legs because it goes to the heart of what reporters do when they report the news. James Rosen did nothing wrong yet the White House via the DoJ has treated him as if he was a criminal. At the same time I do not believe that the contractor did anything wrong. The information, by the way, has been proved to be correct. North Korea has reacted in that exact way and the White House wants to continue burying its collective head in the sand, ignoring the realities of the situation.

(note: I long for the days of the Nixon Administration because President Nixon was very good when it came to Foreign Affairs. It was Nixon who gained the trust of Mao Tse Tung, which is a very big achievement because that contact led to the opening up of China. He got pilloried over Vietnam yet Nixon actually had to make decisions that went against his own religious convictions, and he was not afraid to make those decisions. He was far more decisive than most people recognize. What is more, I have since learned that Nixon was going to be impeached for ATTEMPTING to use the IRS against his enemies. His attempts were unsuccessful, and that makes it hard for me to comprehend why Nixon is condemned when Barry Soetoro is getting away with what is now the most chilling White House Administration in the history of the United States of America.)

Sharyl Attkisson has also mentioned that her computers were compromised. It appears that someone or an entity did an illegal search of her computers. She has not named names… but stand by for further explosive information over this matter.

Hot Air has a post regarding the thoughts of three reporters, including Brit Hume and Kirsten Powers. The comments by Kirsten Powers ( Fox News reporter with liberal leanings) are a must read. I continue to be amazed over the statements being made by Powers and it is not the first time that I have been full of admiration for what she has to say. I note that Powers was the one who had some critical comments to make over the way in which the LSM failed to report on the Gosnell murders and crimes.

Fast and Furious – the Congressional “testimony”

One woman from CBS has taken the lead in exposing Fast and Furious. It has now emerged that the purpose of Fast and Furious was a cover to push for the revoking of your Second Amendment. Of course this in itself is untenable. The question now is whether or not this can be tied to the White House, and in particular “the occupant” of the White House. To be sure he has been trying to work under the radar in order to force through legislation that will remove your gun rights.

The testimony of Eric Holder before the Congress has once again been theatre. The video of Holder responding to some of the questioning has shown a man who is feeling the heat, and I have to say he is a man who is clearly lying about what he knows, and when he knew it.

One person who gave a strong questioning performance was a Congresswoman who is a former FBI agent, by the name of Sandy Adams from Florida. Man, she was good. She really did some hitting below the belt and she was not taking any of the “proverbial” from Holder. He tried to avoid giving straight answers and she was having none of it. Her questions were very direct…. and Holder squirmed.

A new phase of this saga is opening up before us, and I think that unless Holder hands over his emails, that Issa will push a lot harder to get at the truth. For the first time “Impeachment” was mentioned. If Holder does not resign, then he could face impeachment in the near future. If that happens, I think that there are going to be fingers pointing to the White House.

Holder and Østupid have put their foot in it with their denials. Østupid has made statements that actually implicate Holder, and those statements, when examined closely will implicate Østupid as being the one who instigated the operation in the first place.

You can read some information at Hot Air. I will put up further links when I find some new ones.

There is another very good write-up and summary at Pajamas Media.

The Daily Caller has an excellent article on the Holder testimony before Congress. It details how Sandy Adams got Holder to admit that he emailed Lanny Breuer via his personal email account. The issue here is that none of the emails that have been handed over have Holder’s name on them. The Republicans are not being fooled by the stonewalling effort.

Speculation time: do you think it is possible that in the personal emails that are being withheld that Holder had been in contact with Østupid? I am raising this as a possibility because the stonewalling seems to indicate that Holder could be protecting more than himself. I honestly think that Fast and Furious was an idea that came out of the White House.

More on Operation Fast and Furious from American Thinker

This is one of the best articles that I have seen on the subject of what happened. It actually goes a lot further than the articles on Big Government because it has revealed an even bigger cover up. Eric Holder is one of the most rotten individuals ever to hold the position of Attorney General. He is an absolute disgrace, and I am shocked that the Congress approved his appointment to the position for a second time. There needs to be one very big investigation into the matters relating both to the dismissal of the New Black Panther Party case and the failed operation known as Fast and Furious.

The stonewalling in the case has been at several levels. All along there has been a failure to cooperate with the Congress, that is until Mr. Melson appeared before the committee and gave his evidence. You see, the Justice Department intended to use Melson as the fall guy. The story is extremely grubby, and after reading this report I have no doubt in my mind that the people responsible for ordering this operation in the first place are in the White House and that the orders came from the Oval Office.

In a nutshell, the person who is investigating the matter for the Justice Department is not independent of the Justice Department. She is the acting Auditor-General, Schadner and look behind the curtain, what do you find? Schnedar had a very close relationship with Eric Holder, to the point of having prepared briefs with him on several court cases. She is not independent of Eric Holder.

What is worse is that Holder is attempting to cover up by referring to this internal investigation that is being done by someone who has a close association with him, as does Østupid. The pair seem to think that all they have to do is to keep mentioning an investigation that iteself is going nowhere and is being used as yet another tool for stonewalling.

As further evidence that Eric Holder and Østupid are implicated is the fact that Michael Horowitz, an associate of both Holder and Eddie Breuer has been appointed as the Inspector-General. There is no independence between the Justice Department and the Inspector-General because of these political appointments and the fact that they are people so closely associated with Eric Holder.

The Justice Department is totally on the nose. I cannot remember hearing these stories even when Clinton was in charge, and it seems to me that the department is much smellier than it was at that time. Eric Holder made some outrageous decisions when Clinton was President, and it led to Marc Rich, a Dem donor being pardoned for his crimes, as well as members of the FALN being pardoned for their crimes. Holder is totally corrupt, but he has been untouchable for a very long time.

Please read the article at the American Thinker for yourself, and then start putting all of the pieces together. The road is clearly leading to one person who gave the orders for this operation in the first place. The buck does not stop at Eric Holder.

Operation Fast and Furious – more damaging revelations

Pajamas Media have up a post which details the latest information on Operation Fast and Furious. There is even more evidence that leads back to the White House.

The one to highlight is the testimony of William Newell, who indicated that he discussed the subject with Kevin O’Reilly in 2010:

July 27: Hot Air reported that before Rep. Darrell Issa’s committee on July 26, William Newell testified that in September 2010 he discussed the Gunwalker case with White House National Security Director for North America Kevin O’Reilly. In relation to that communication, Newell sent O’Reilly an e-mail in which he wrote: “You didn’t get this from me.” Newell explained that O’Reilly was a long-time friend, and he shouldn’t have informed him.

The revelations of this week not only support or confirm much of what was already known, but add new, more disturbing dimensions to the scandal. It has long been known that heads of the FBI and DEA were informed about the program, as well as officials in the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and the State Department. However, the State Department’s role in selling significant quantities of military surplus and military grade weapons and other equipment to the Zeta cartel, possibly through a thinly veiled front company, was not previously known.

The FBI certainly had to have known that the ATF was misrepresenting their forensic findings in the Terry murder, but did nothing to correct that misrepresentation to Congress or to the public, and had no comment regarding this revelation.

The most significant revelation of the week is that someone in the White House was made aware of the operation. Did the president or his chosen officials not only allow but encourage the illegal purchase and smuggling of arms into Mexico, a foolish and cynical attempt to further gun-control policies unobtainable through the legislative process? We now know that knowledge of the program was within a few steps of Obama.
